What made this job special? It wasn’t just about tearing things down—it was about creating opportunity. Our skilled demo crew carefully removed all the stainless steel structures, clearing the way for the school to maximize and repurpose the space. We’re thrilled to share that Hollywood Handy is in the early stages of building a brand-new interim housing facility in South LA! This project will offer 40 much-needed beds and support in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health—bringing hope and healing to our community. We’ve teamed up with the brilliant architect @augustin.valery to create a space that’s as beautiful as it is purposeful, inspired by A timeless mid-century modern design. Handy fulfilled the full contract, furnishing all 14 dorm rooms, the case manager’s office, the lounge, and the outdoor lounge area. Each space was designed to provide a warm, supportive, and uplifting environment for women in recovery. This project is especially meaningful to us, as Hollywood Handy is a 100% women-owned business. Helping women in need is deeply important to our mission, and we’re proud to have contributed to this incredible cause.
